GeekCon was such a total disaster... When me and Tara first got there we were pretty damn excited, and we were planning out what we were gonna do. The first thing we did was try out the build a rocket ship event they had. Tara was really having a hard time with this, she actually got a shock. I didn't know what I was doing either, but I managed not to get a shock myself. Sadly though, that's pretty much the only event we got to try out because it was raining and the rain destroyed everything. Me and Tara wanted to try out the new computers they were showing off, but they were all destroyed by the rain with water damage. There were even sparks flying out of them.
Anyways, me and Tara went inside for a bit to escape the rain. We were talking and having some drinks. She was like, “This didn't go as planned.” I agreed, but I told her that I was still happy that we're spending time together. She poked me in the arm and agreed with me. So, we spent a little while longer inside the bar area and had a couple more drinks. I blew her a kiss, and then I told her how lucky of a man I am to have someone as loving as her. She smiled and poked me in the arm again.
Afterwards, me and Tara wandered around the festival just checking out different things. We also spotted my dad. He was eating a burger and talking to some people. The costume he was wearing was absolutely hilarious, Me and Tara couldn't help but laugh. We said hello and then left him to what he was doing. I never knew he was interested in this kind of stuff. Also, I did a little bit of violin playing but nobody seemed interested. I guess the rain really took the mood out of it.
Tara got into a conversation with a couple of interesting people. She was talking to this lady in overalls and a guy wearing this weird bug-like costume. Tara was telling them how disappointed she was in how the rain ruined GeekCon. The man and lady were saying that this is the first time this has ever happened and that they usually cancel GeekCon when the weather is like this. Apparently the rain was a surprise and they just didn't have enough time to cancel the festival because everything was already set up. I can only imagine how expensive it’s gonna be to fix all of the damage caused by the rain.
Me and Tara we're looking at some of the art they set up, and there was some pretty neat stuff. As we continued to view the art, my dad showed up out nowhere wearing short shorts, a long dress shirt, and glasses. I'm like, "Hey dad what's up with your attire!?" He laughed and said that he was testing out a new style. Me and Tara both laughed and gave him the thumbs up. My dad then gave Tara a hug, jabbed me in the arm, and said that he’s leaving. We said goodbye, and I told him to drop by my place for some beers whenever he wants. After he left, Tara gave me a kiss and brushed up against me. She was being so flirty. She's such a cutie.
Well, it’s getting into the evening now and me and Tara want to get out of here. We’re both getting sick of the rain. I was just telling her that despite how awful GeekCon was I’m still glad that I got to spend the day with her. She hugged me and said she had an awesome time. I took her over by the fence and gave her a kiss. I told her that I'm really looking forward to her coming over to my place later tonight to watch a movie and that it would be a much better time than this rainy GeekCon. She smiled and gave me a hug. Then I finally remembered… I forgot to call work to take a vacation day off. I'm a little worried now because this is gonna count as a no show… I guess I better come up with a good excuse and give them a call as soon as I get home.
Tara gave me a kiss and brushed up against me. She was being so flirty. She's such a cutie.
