The Harrowing Truth

I gave the Blue Velvet a call, and the response I got from the manager was sadly not what I was looking for. When I asked about Genevieve, the manager said their records don't show anyone by the name of Genevieve ever working there...

I went back to the dining room to let Tara know about what I found out. We were both very upset.

"She doesn't exist," I said to Tara. "I guess that means Stephon and Brian don't exist either."

Tara looked at me with sadness in her eyes. "They were our friends, Ricky."

"I know," I said as I placed my hand on Tara's arm.

Me and Tara were sitting there lost in deep thought and sadness.

I feel so bad right now because I know that I'm the one who is responsible for all of this...

Me and Tara are sitting here and thinking about our friends Genevieve, Stephon, and Brian. If they don't exist here anymore, do they still exist in the world of the future? This is all my fault... Oh no, it's happening again. It's getting dark. It's getting really dark. I feel like I'm going to faint...

I'm drifting through space and time. There's a light in the distance. I'm drifting towards the light. I'm getting closer to the light...

I see myself...

"Are you okay, Ricky?" Tara asks. "You fainted again."

"Yeah, I'm fine," I reply. "I had another experience, and this one was quite interesting."

"Let me get you some water, and then you can tell me the details," Tara responds.
